Love & health: new program tackles alcohol and violence to keep young women in HIV care
NCT ID NCT05947539
Summary
This study is testing a new program for couples in Uganda where the young woman has HIV. The program aims to help her stay engaged with her HIV care and treatment. It works by helping her male partner reduce heavy alcohol use, which is linked to relationship violence, a major barrier to care. Researchers will see if this approach improves medication adherence and health outcomes.
