First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study compares two methods of delivering chemotherapy directly into the abdomen for people whose cancer has spread there. One method uses heated chemotherapy during surgery (HIPEC), while the other sprays it as a mist during a minimally invasive procedure (PIPAC). The goal is to see which approach is safer, better tolerated, and more effective for controlling the disease.
