First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen during stomach cancer surgery can help patients live longer and lower the chance of cancer coming back. About 616 adults with advanced stomach cancer will either get standard surgery plus chemotherapy, or the same plus two rounds of heated chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this extra treatment improves 5-year survival and reduces cancer spread.
