Fast hip training could be key to stopping falls in seniors
NCT ID NCT03731572
Summary
This study tested whether a special type of fast hip muscle training is better than regular strength training for preventing falls in older adults. Researchers worked with 97 generally healthy, independent adults aged 65 and older. They compared the two training methods over 12 weeks to see which one better improved sideways balance and stepping reactions, and then tracked fall rates for a year.
