Trial aims to find best surgery for weakened hips in cancer patients
NCT ID NCT06863129
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common hip surgeries works better for patients whose cancer has spread to their hip bone. Researchers will randomly assign 334 participants to either have the weakened bone stabilized with metal hardware or have the diseased bone removed and replaced with an artificial joint. The goal is to see which approach leads to better physical function, fewer complications, and more time spent at home over a 12-month period.
