New ultrasound device aims to improve hip replacement planning
NCT ID NCT03555812
Summary
This study tested a portable ultrasound device to see how reliably it could measure pelvic tilt (the angle of the pelvis). Researchers measured 3 healthy volunteers and 30 patients getting hip replacements to see if the device gave consistent readings between different operators. The goal was to gather information that might help surgeons better plan hip replacement surgeries in the future.
