New nerve block tested to ease hip surgery pain
NCT ID NCT07453498
Summary
This study is testing which of two nerve-blocking techniques works better for pain relief after hip replacement surgery. About 130 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either a newer psoas sheath block or a standard fascia iliaca block. Researchers will measure pain levels, recovery quality, and how much strong pain medication patients need after their operation.
