Global watchdog study monitors hip implants for years

NCT ID NCT02520544

Summary

This international registry study aimed to track how well two specific brands of hip replacement parts (the Accolade stem and Trident/Tritanium cup) hold up over many years. It followed 472 adults with osteoarthritis who received these specific implants to see how long they lasted and how patients' hip function and quality of life changed. The goal was to gather real-world data on the performance and safety of these medical devices.
