New hip cup design aims to stop joints from popping out
NCT ID NCT07464665
Summary
This study will compare two types of artificial hip sockets used in total hip replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if a newer 'dual-mobility' cup helps patients forget about their artificial hip more often than the standard 'unipolar' cup, especially by reducing the risk of the joint dislocating. The study will involve 300 adults getting their first hip replacement and will track their pain, function, and satisfaction for two years.
