Doctors track hip implants for a decade to ensure they last
NCT ID NCT02019849
Summary
This study followed 100 patients for up to 10 years after they received a specific type of cementless hip replacement cup called Plasmafit®. The main goal was to see how well the implant held up over time and to check for any problems using X-rays and patient surveys. Researchers wanted to gather real-world evidence on the cup's long-term safety and performance after it was already approved for use.
