New hip implant coating aims to stop infections before they start

Summary
This study tests a special coating on a new hip implant to see if it helps the implant bond better with the bone and lowers the risk of infection. About 340 adults needing a hip replacement will either get the coated or standard implant. The goal is to improve long-term success and reduce serious complications.
