New study pits two minimally invasive procedures against stubborn hip pain
NCT ID NCT07396246
Summary
This study is comparing two different procedures to treat persistent pain on the side of the hip (Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome). Thirty adults who haven't gotten better with standard treatments like physical therapy will be randomly assigned to receive either a blood vessel embolization (TAME) or a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection. Researchers will track their pain, function, and quality of life for a year to see which treatment works better.
