First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block to a standard steroid injection can better relieve hip pain caused by osteoarthritis. Researchers followed 50 adults whose hip pain lasted over 6 months and did not improve with usual treatments. The goal was to see if the combination reduces pain and improves daily function better than the injection alone.
