NCT ID NCT07608237

First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at two types of hip surgery for people over 40 with a condition called femoroacetabular impingement, where the hip bones pinch during movement. The goal is to see if repairing the torn labrum (a ring of cartilage) or replacing it with a graft leads to better pain relief and function. About 220 participants will be randomly assigned to one surgery and followed for up to two years. The results will help doctors choose the best approach for older patients.
