Scientists probe hidden link between hips and torn knee ligaments
NCT ID NCT07271277
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific hip condition (femoroacetabular impingement or FAI) is related to tearing the ACL, a major knee ligament. Researchers will use detailed 3D MRI scans to look at the hip bones of 50 adults who have recently torn their ACL. The goal is to see if people with ACL tears are more likely to have this hip shape, which could help identify future injury risks earlier.
