New hip implant design aims to stay put longer
NCT ID NCT03724058
Summary
This study is comparing two different designs of hip replacement cups to see which one stays more securely attached to the bone over time. Researchers are measuring tiny movements of the implant in 87 patients over two years to predict which design might last longer. The goal is to find a more stable implant that could reduce the need for future revision surgeries.
