Scientists map the moving hip to solve a painful puzzle

NCT ID NCT05678894

Summary

This study aims to understand how the hip socket's position changes when people sit, stand, and move, and if these changes differ between people with painful hip impingement and healthy volunteers. Researchers will use special 3D imaging scans on 140 participants—half with the condition and half without—while they hold different postures. The goal is to gather new knowledge about the mechanics of hip impingement, which could inform future treatments.
