Surgeons test which position works best for hip fracture repair

NCT ID NCT07410338

Summary

This study compared two ways of positioning patients during surgery for a serious type of hip fracture. Researchers wanted to see if lying on one's side (lateral decubitus) or lying on one's back on a special table (supine on traction table) led to better bone alignment, less radiation exposure from X-rays, and a faster surgery. The study involved 77 adults with unstable hip fractures.
