First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a deep gluteal nerve block to a standard hip block can better control pain and reduce the need for strong painkillers after hip fracture surgery. 68 adults having hip surgery under spinal anesthesia took part. Researchers measured pain scores and how much morphine patients used in the first 24 hours after surgery.
