First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at how different types of anesthesia (general or spinal) affect oxygen levels in people over 65 having hip fracture surgery. Researchers will measure oxygen saturation before and after surgery, and also check for sleep apnea, confusion, breathing problems, and how long patients stay in the hospital. The study is observational, meaning it only collects data without changing the care patients receive.
