Are we missing hip problems in babies? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07066852

Summary

This study aims to find out if the standard hip ultrasound given to babies is enough to catch developmental hip dysplasia (DDH), especially in those at higher risk. Researchers will follow 300 babies born at a Turkish hospital, giving them extra hip checks and X-rays over their first year to see if problems develop later. The goal is to improve early detection so treatment can start sooner, potentially preventing pain and arthritis in adulthood.
