New injection could ease hip arthritis pain without surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether a gel injection called Synolis VA can reduce pain and improve function in people with hip osteoarthritis. Researchers will follow 70 adults with painful hip arthritis for 6 months after they receive the injection. The goal is to see if this treatment helps people move more easily and delays or avoids the need for hip replacement surgery.
