Summary
This small, completed study tested whether a 9-week high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program, held twice a week at a community gym, could help older adults. It aimed to see if this type of exercise could improve cardiovascular endurance, balance, muscle strength, and muscle quality. The study involved 6 participants who were generally healthy and able to walk without assistance.
