First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called the HighLife transcatheter mitral valve replacement system in 240 people with severe mitral regurgitation who cannot have standard surgery or repair. The goal is to see if the device is safe and effective at controlling the disease and reducing the risk of death or heart failure hospitalization over two years. Participants will receive the valve through a catheter inserted via a vein, avoiding open-heart surgery.
