Can doubling your allergy pill stop hives faster?

NCT ID NCT07236372

Summary

This study aims to find out if taking a higher dose of the common allergy medicine cetirizine works better than the standard dose to relieve sudden hives (acute urticaria) in adults. Researchers will compare two groups: one taking the standard daily dose and another taking a higher dose for one week, tracking how quickly symptoms like itching and welts go away. The study will also check if the higher dose is safe for short-term use and if it can help people avoid needing stronger steroid medications.
