This study looked at whether a single high-salt meal affects blood pressure and blood vessel function differently in Black versus white adults. About 71 healthy people aged 19-40 ate both a high-salt and a low-salt tomato soup meal on separate days. Researchers measured blood pressure, artery stiffness, and dilation before and after each meal to understand racial differences in salt sensitivity.
