New heart procedure aims to stop irregular beats with better sedation

Summary

This study tests a special catheter to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat that comes and goes). About 300 adults aged 18-80 who have symptoms despite medication will receive the procedure under different sedation types. The goal is to see how well the treatment controls heart rhythm over the long term.
