Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether a high-protein diet (30% protein, 40% carbs, 30% fat) can reduce liver fat and improve liver function in 72 adults with alcoholic fatty liver disease. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the high-protein diet or a standard diet for 6 weeks. The main goal is to measure changes in liver fat using MRI, along with other markers of liver health.
