Scientists watch brain bleeds in real time to unlock hidden stroke risks

NCT ID NCT06128824

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at people with cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), a condition where protein builds up in brain blood vessels, raising the risk of bleeding and stroke. Researchers will use monthly MRI scans to track small bleeds and silent strokes over time. The goal is to better understand how these changes happen, not to test a new treatment. About 75 adults with CAA will take part.
