First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether high-flow nasal oxygen can prevent low oxygen levels and breathing complications in patients undergoing a minimally invasive heart valve replacement (TAVR). About 452 adults having elective TAVR will receive either high-flow oxygen or standard oxygen during sedation. The goal is to see if high-flow oxygen reduces complications like hospital readmission, stroke, or kidney injury within 30 days after the procedure.
