First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested a high dose (10 mg/kg/day) of the antifungal drug liposomal amphotericin B (Ambisome) in 40 people with zygomycosis, a rare but serious fungal infection. The goal was to see if this dose could control the infection, measured by complete or partial response after 4 weeks of treatment. Researchers also looked at how well patients tolerated the drug and their survival after 15 days.
