Could a diet change protect kids with feeding tubes from lung damage?
NCT ID NCT07303868
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether eating foods that bind to bile acids can reduce bile levels in the stomach and saliva of children who rely on feeding tubes. High bile acids can lead to breathing complications if inhaled. Over four weeks, 66 children aged 5 to 21 will try two different blenderized diets and an amino acid formula to see which lowers bile acids best and improves symptoms.
