New blood test could revolutionize liver cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07148310

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test called delta-HLD to see how well it can detect liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). Researchers will compare results from 200 people—some with liver cancer and some with liver cirrhosis but no cancer—to measure the test's accuracy. If successful, this could lead to a simple, non-invasive way to catch liver cancer earlier.
