Scientists test hibiscus tea on pregnant women

NCT ID NCT07175597

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested a daily hibiscus drink in pregnant women to see if they liked it, if it caused stomach issues, and if it affected their blood pressure and health markers. Ten women in their second trimester drank the beverage daily for four weeks and answered weekly surveys. Researchers measured their blood pressure and took blood and urine samples before and after the trial to look for any changes.
