New surgical mesh aims to stop hernias from coming back
NCT ID NCT07070115
Summary
This study is testing a new type of surgical mesh, called OviTex, to see if it helps prevent hiatal hernias from returning after repair surgery. It will follow about 173 patients for up to 5 years to check for hernia recurrence and any complications. The main goal is to see if using this mesh leads to better long-term results compared to what is typically seen.
