Scientists probe mysterious bleeding in dangerous Rodent-Borne fever

NCT ID NCT06944275

Summary

This study aims to understand why some patients with Haemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS), a serious rodent-borne illness, develop dangerous bleeding problems. Researchers will recruit 62 hospitalized patients in Slovenia to analyze their blood and track how their clotting system works during the illness. The goal is to identify what causes the bleeding risk, which could lead to better ways to predict severe cases and find targets for future treatments.
