Could a fish oil from herring help tame high cholesterol?

NCT ID NCT06364163

Summary

This study is testing whether a concentrated oil from herring fish can lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol in adults who are overweight or obese. Researchers are focusing on a specific fatty acid in herring called cetoleic acid, which might affect cholesterol differently than other fish oils. The study involves 80 participants who will take the supplement to see if it improves their cholesterol levels.
