Modified herpes virus injected into brain to fight deadly tumors

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether a modified herpes virus called C5252 can be safely injected into brain tumors to fight cancer. The study will enroll 36 adults with recurrent malignant brain tumors who have exhausted standard treatments. Researchers will inject the virus directly into the tumor cavity to see if it's safe and whether it might help patients live longer.
