First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a nerve block called the erector spinae plane block (ESPB) can improve recovery after open inguinal hernia surgery. About 60 adults having hernia repair under spinal anesthesia will be split into two groups: one gets the block after surgery, the other does not. Researchers will measure pain, recovery quality, and how quickly patients return to normal activities.
