NCT ID NCT07473583

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study watches 100 adults having laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair to see if the time their abdomen is filled with carbon dioxide gas affects blood bicarbonate levels. Researchers measure bicarbonate before surgery and two hours after, then compare changes to the gas duration. The goal is to better understand metabolic shifts during this common surgery, not to test a new treatment.
