Summary
This study is testing whether completely removing the hernia tissue during surgery reduces tension on the repair, which could lead to fewer hernias coming back. Researchers will measure tension during surgery on 42 adults having paraesophageal hernia repair. The goal is to improve surgical techniques to make repairs more durable and reduce the need for repeat operations.
