Doctors test which hernia surgery is safer for kids

NCT ID NCT07252999

Summary

This study is comparing two ways to perform a common surgery to fix a childhood hernia. Doctors will see if cutting the hernia sac (transection) leads to fewer complications than the traditional method of pushing it back in (reduction). They will follow 40 boys under 18 for 6 months after surgery to check for problems like recurrence, swelling, or testicular issues.
