Stitch vs. patch: which hernia mesh heals better?

NCT ID NCT07476560

Summary

This study tests whether a newer 'mesh-suture' material works better than standard flat mesh for repairing small belly hernias. 280 adult patients having hernia surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one type of mesh. Researchers will track wound healing problems, surgery time, and how patients feel during recovery to see which option leads to fewer complications and better quality of life.
