Summary
This study looked at 412 men having groin hernia repair to see if a lighter mesh causes less pain and better quality of life than a heavier one. Surgeons were assigned to use one type of mesh, and patients were randomly assigned to a surgeon. The main goal was to measure pain after surgery using standard pain scales.
