Staples vs stitches: which hernia fix hurts less?

Summary
This study looks at 132 adults having inguinal hernia repair to see which way of fixing the mesh causes less pain after surgery. Some patients will get stitches (Prolene or Vicryl) and others will get skin staples. Pain will be measured at 3, 7, 14, and 30 days after surgery using a simple 0-10 pain scale.
