First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested three methods of securing mesh during laparoscopic hernia repair: surgical glue, stitches, or metal tacks. 75 adults with a first-time inguinal hernia were randomly assigned to one method. Researchers measured pain, quality of life, and mesh sensation up to 6 months after surgery to find the most comfortable option.
