Ancient herbal remedy tested to shield kidneys during modern surgery

Summary
This study aims to see if a traditional Chinese herbal formula called Shenkangling can help protect and improve recovery of kidney function after surgery that temporarily cuts off blood flow. It will involve 100 adults who are having specific kidney surgeries and also show signs of kidney weakness and blood stagnation according to traditional Chinese medicine. Participants will either receive standard post-surgery care alone or standard care plus the herbal decoction to compare outcomes.
