Ancient herb tested as new hope for millions with silent liver disease
NCT ID NCT07452744
Summary
This study is testing whether a standardized herbal extract called Picroliv can help manage non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). About 170 adults with early-stage NAFLD will take either the herbal capsules or a placebo pill twice daily for 24 weeks, while also following standard diet and exercise advice. The main goal is to see if the treatment safely reduces the amount of fat in the liver and improves related health measures.
