Ancient herbal remedy put to modern test for asthma sufferers
NCT ID NCT07352488
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a traditional Chinese herbal formula called Modified Shenling Baizhu Powder to standard asthma inhalers helps people with allergic asthma feel better and control their symptoms. It will involve 400 adults with persistent allergic asthma who also have a specific pattern of symptoms in traditional Chinese medicine. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the herbal powder or a placebo, along with their regular inhaler, for 8 weeks, followed by 12 weeks of follow-up to see which group has better asthma control.
