Herbal remedy goes Head-to-Head with standard hemorrhoid drug
NCT ID NCT07369635
Summary
This study tested whether a herbal capsule made from purslane and spiny amaranth could control bleeding internal hemorrhoids as well as the standard medication, diosmin. 172 adults with grade II hemorrhoids were randomly assigned to take either the herbal treatment or the standard drug for 28 days, with follow-up for a week after. The main goal was to see which treatment better stopped bleeding and reduced other hemorrhoid symptoms.
